Leadership Coaching Taster Webinar – Hybrid Leadership in a Changing World
In advance of the upcoming Autumn ICAS Leadership Coaching Programmes, we are running a free one-hour virtual taster session on the theme of ‘Hybrid Leadership in a Changing World’.
The session will take place on Wednesday 31 August at 4pm and be facilitated by Russell Borland and Thomas Chalmers, Partners at Leading Figures coaching consultancy, their associate Janet Hayes, Executive and Team Coach, and Clive Bellingham CA, ICAS Deputy President. The session follows on from Leading Figures’ recent feature article in the July/August edition of CA Magazine, focusing on why leadership styles must evolve in a hybrid world.
The workplace landscape has shifted, and effective leadership is more important than ever. Leaders continue to grapple with the array of post-pandemic hybrid approaches, most of which include an amalgam of arrangements that can make for disjointed teamwork. As well as exploring common challenges, this session will highlight the practices and behaviours that have stood the test of time and will continue to be relevant for hybrid leadership in a changing world.
Leadership and Personal Development Courses
Our leadership and personal development training courses (delivered in partnership with BPP Professional Development) cover a range of topics, including managing virtual teams, influencing, personal resilience, stress management and effective communication.
Here are some of the courses which may be of interest to leaders throughout the summer months:
- 15 July, Negotiating Skills - An Introduction, Online Live
Learning the basic fundamentals of negotiation and the theory behind it will provide a strong foundation from which to develop and leverage your skills as a successful negotiator and leader.
This highly interactive course examines the essential aspects of negotiation - process, theory and behaviour - primarily through participation in negotiation exercises.
- 19 July, Stress Management - An Introduction, Online Live
Stress can adversely affect all professionals, particularly those in leadership roles. It can take its toll on your career, relationships and, above all, health. Developing resilience and dealing with stress calls upon the individual to raise their awareness, adapt their ways of thinking, and maximise control.
This course will introduce delegates to the vital resources, tools and techniques they need to manage stress at work and home.
- 26 July, Influencing Skills, Online Live
Influence is the basis of leadership. In the modern environment where the 'push' approach of telling people what to do is no longer viable, it needs to be replaced by the 'pull' method of 'soft' influence - influencing people thoughtfully by communicating the merits of your message.
This course gives participants the strategies and confidence to influence and inspire others in the workplace, whether it’s their team, their colleagues, or their customers.
