You said, we did; CA Connect
Following direct feedback from our Members, the CA Connect platform will be discontinued from 1 March 2022.
As part of ICAS’ commitment to continually improve how we communicate with our Members, inform them of upcoming events and deliver content that will aid them in their career journey, ICAS will be closing down the CA Connect platform from 1 March 2022.
The decision to close down the platform comes as a direct result of feedback from our Members and the findings of the latest quant survey.
Over the last few months, ICAS has been focusing our efforts on new ways in which we can provide Members with a smooth and connected user journey in relation to events, mentoring and access to the content they need.
What does this mean for ICAS content?
ICAS is continually aiming to provide Members with rich and engaging content to help them excel in their careers.
We are focusing on bringing new and exciting insights to our Members such as the recently launched Finance+ series which will investigate the important issues facing business today, going beyond the traditional boundaries of finance to explore through the lens of responsible leadership and ethical business.
This series will provide our Members with a suite of articles, videos, podcasts and information from ICAS experts and insights informed by the lived experiences of CAs across the business and finance sector to help them navigate the challenges and seize the opportunities presented in today’s ever-changing business landscape. puts you in the bigger picture, exploring the key issues and opportunities for today’s finance professional.
What does this mean for ICAS events?
CA Connect was set up, in part, as a platform for Members to view and register for ICAS events.
As restrictions around social distancing and in-person events were announced in answer to the COVID-19 pandemic, ICAS worked on creating a suite of virtual events and webinars for its Members.
With this move away from in-person events, but with the knowledge that they would return in the future, we announced the new ICAS events platform in August 2021 which is able to support both virtual and face to face events.
The new platform features a greater range of technical features and offers additional opportunities for audience participation, helping to give you a more engaging and interactive experience.
The new platform also allows for further levels of customisation and enables the use of dedicated ICAS branding, so you can enjoy a more connected experience when accessing content across the various ICAS channels.
What does this mean for ICAS mentoring?
In 2020, ICAS surveyed Members and Students who had identified an interest in participating in the ICAS mentoring programme via CA Connect to gain feedback and insight into how they were interacting with the platform in regards to mentoring.
After analysing the feedback from this survey, it was clear that this platform wasn’t the right fit for mentors and mentees.
ICAS is now working on moving the programme to a more effective, easy to use, all-purpose, self-serving mentor-matching platform which will increase member engagement and satisfaction.
The new ICAS mentoring platform is currently in development and is expected to be made available to members in Spring 2022.
