Opportunities for Grampian CAs to give back and grow their networks

Two new vacancies on the Area Network and Members Board provide opportunities for Grampian-based CAs to get involved with ICAS, expand their networks and help shape the future of the profession.

Getting involved with any of the ICAS boards or committees can be a great way to add new insights, skills and expertise to your portfolio and can provide a fantastic networking opportunity. Furthermore, you’ll be playing an active hand in shaping the future of both ICAS and the CA profession.

ICAS currently has two such vacancies suitable for CAs based in the Grampian area.

Being on Members Board has given me an opportunity to influence ICAS’ priorities, contribute my own ideas and have a direct influence on the experiences of the entire ICAS membership.

Sobhan Afzal CA

ICAS Grampian Area Network Chair

Our local Area Networks are just one of the many ways in which we foster the bonds between ICAS and our Members and Students.

The Grampian Area Network performs this role in their local area by organising events, providing networking opportunities, by sharing details of the latest initiatives and by feeding back to us with information on Members’ and Students’ priorities and opinions.

The Grampian Area Network is seeking a new Chair for its committee. Becoming Chair of the committee is a great opportunity to expand your network, develop your expertise and use your knowledge, influence and insights to help shape the profession, with a key focus on the Grampian area.

As Chair you’d have a range of responsibilities, including working with Members Board to deliver the member engagement strategy and acting as an ambassador for ICAS initiatives.

You can learn more here about what’s involved and how to apply before the closing date of noon on Monday 13 June 2022.

Being on Members Board is a great way of giving back and helping to challenge and shape the future ICAS strategy. It’s also a great opportunity to grow your network.

Alan Burnet CA

ICAS Members Board Grampian-area Representative

Members Board is responsible for providing strategic direction, guidance, oversight and challenge to the member engagement work undertaken by ICAS. The Board performs a strategic role in considering all aspects of the way ICAS engages with its Members. The Board has identified four priority focus areas: strong networks, Member and Student wellbeing, professional development, and customer engagement.

ICAS is seeking to appoint a CA representing the Grampian Area to join its Members Board.

Members Board allows you to explore the diverse issues and opportunities within the membership and help to shape value for members.

Jamie Mumford-Raine CA

The role provides an opportunity to make a positive contribution to the work of ICAS and help shape the member-engagement and communications strategy. It’s also a great way to network with CAs from across a variety of sectors and backgrounds and gain experience of being part of an influential ICAS board.

You can learn more here about what’s involved and how to apply before the closing date of noon on Monday 13 June 2022.
