New developments to put our members first and position us for the future

8 October 2019

Key points

  • ICAS has implemented an ambitious corporate plan.
  • Our refreshed brand will help achieve growth objectives, strengthen our standing in the minds of members and non-members, and positively position us for the future.
  • We are launching a new, user-friendly website, with an app and community platform coming soon.

Today we’re revealing a range of exciting developments at ICAS that put our members at the forefront of everything we do.

This is an important time of change for ICAS, our members, the accountancy profession and the world in which we operate. Our collective future will present new challenges, opportunities and risks, with the need to adapt and innovate.

Which is just what we’re doing.

ICAS corporate plan

In response to a wealth of member feedback, we mapped and implemented an ambitious corporate plan that’s actively transforming the way we operate and grow, clearly defining what we want to achieve, providing a renewed focus to our current work and future direction.

Our vision is to be recognised and respected as a world leader in the future of finance, pitched at the vanguard of the accountancy profession. We want to be a force for good, for members, the profession and society. In action, that means ensuring that we’re an increasingly responsive and relevant member body, maintaining the CA credential’s global prominence and valued reputation, whilst always meeting our public-interest obligations.

The initial results are a series of important changes, including a refreshed brand, new website and app, and a community platform to connect our members.

New-look ICAS brand

We identified positively strengthening the ICAS brand in the minds of our members, and the wider public, as a top priority to help achieve our growth objectives. That’s why today we’re excited to reveal a refreshed brand that’s ready to play a central role in driving new business and fit to carry us through the important years ahead.

But this is about more than visual technicalities. While the ICAS logo, typography and colours are vital parts of our brand, our identity is the entirety of who we are, what we do and how we do it: the experience anyone has with us, the emotions they feel when thinking about us.

We hope you approve of the clean, consistent and contemporary look.

ICAS.com ‘soft launch’

You may have noticed that the brand refresh has also been applied to our website.

Although the new look is ‘live’ as of today, we are classing this as a ‘soft launch’ as we are still in the process of testing and refining the site before sending out official launch communications to all members later this month.

In the meantime, we want your feedback. Have a look around the site, use the search function, discover our new navigation and please let us know what you think.

App and CA Connect

As if all that innovation wasn’t enough, in the next few weeks we’ll be launching a mobile app that will deliver a digital experience tailored to every user and act as a key resource in our aims to meet our members’ learning and professional-development needs.

We’re also creating CA Connect, an inventive online, professional community platform with new opportunities for members to locate peers with similar interests, reach out to mentors, find and offer guidance and advice, form special-interest groups and register for events.

Events are on the move

Speaking of which, as of today, the event registration process has moved from icas.com to CA Connect, with all other event-related features switching soon after. To see how it works, head to the “What’s on” section of the website. From there you’ll be taken to CA Connect, to book onto any events that pique your interest.

Keep an eye out for further updates on our app and CA Connect over the coming weeks.
