Attendees of the Inspire chapter of this year's CA Summit will hear the ideas, predictions and observations of those who continue to power and support the growth of innovative and equitable organisations.

The Inspire chapter will take place on day three of the Summit -  7 October from 1-3 pm. Below you will find information on our speakers for the day including session times and a synopsis of what they will cover during their session.

Talent Director at DPDgroup, Wim Focquet is an experienced Human Resources Leader with a passion for change, organisational design and talent development.

Stuart Brodie is Director at Markel Tax and has more than 20 years of professional experience. Stuart is also a Chartered Tax Adviser, specialising in VAT.

Charlotte Myers is Global Head of Technical Training at Markel International. She is a recognised expert in leading change and evolution in the talent arena having been a founding member of both Inclusion@Lloyd’s and the globally recognised Dive In Festival.

Annie Graham CA is UK&I Audit Partner and Head of Audit Scotland at EY. Annie was part of Sir Donald Brydon’s review committee considering how the audit process and product could be developed to better serve the needs of users and the wider public interest. She is also on the ICAS Council and has recently been appointed as Chair to the ICAS Constitutional Panel.

Past ICAS President Catherine Burnet CA is Head of Audit for KPMG in the UK, where she leads a team of 6,000 auditors serving companies from large listed corporates to family-owned businesses and across the full spectrum of sectors. Prior to this, she was Regional Chair for KPMG in Scotland and Edinburgh Office Senior Partner.

Jason BrinkJason Brink

Jason Brink is an entrepreneur, blockchain theorist, and avid gamer. He is currently the President of Blockchain for Gala Games, the world's leading gaming platform with blockchain integration.

Session description

Jason will explain why blockchain is a CA's best friend by separating fact from fiction, and how it will continue to change the world as we know it.


Gabriella Somerville

Gabriella, founder of ConnectJets Ltd, has over 25 years’ experience in commercial and business aviation.

In 2014, Gabriella was selected as mentor for Sir Richard Branson’s new Entrepreneurial Programme, Virgin Start Up, a not for profit Virgin Company for entrepreneurs.

Charity work is close to her heart and ConnectJets has raised over £150,000 for the Children’s Hospice and Military Charities. RAF Odiham and Help for Heroes are key beneficiaries.
