15 October 2020

As a member of Chartered Accountants Worldwide (CAW), ICAS is soon to be hosting a #FinBiz2030 global event. All CAs are invited to attend this free event which is part of the ‘Building Resilience’ series.

#FinBiz2030 is an event not to be missed by all finance, accountancy and business professionals, students and One Young World Ambassadors.

The topic of Leadership, Purpose and Ethics goes to the heart of what it means to be a CA today.

With a panel of speakers including CAs and young business leaders from across the globe, the event promises to provide food for thought on issues that are of huge importance to us all.

This is an opportunity to be engaged, learn from others and be inspired about your future. What kind of business leader do you want to be? What can you do to make a difference? We need your help to make the world a better place.

Broadcast online on Tuesday 27 October at 17.30 GMT / 18.30 SAST / 12.30 EST the event is timed to allow participants to join from across the globe.

ICAS Vice President Indy Hothi CA, a One Young World Ambassador, will be co-hosting the event and encourages all young CAs to sign up.

“#FinBiz2030 is a fantastic opportunity to learn more about the world of business and how you, as a young leader, can make a difference and positive impact. As a global society, we are facing many challenges which require true leadership driven by purpose to ensure we build a better future for all."

About the Building Resilience series

Every corner of the world has been touched by the coronavirus pandemic unlike anything we’ve ever seen before. As it stands, the socioeconomic outlook is uncertain and the future is challenging as millions have experienced some sort of displacement in their professional and personal lives.

But as the world begins to adjust to COVID-19 and move forward, we need to ensure the world’s workforce is ready to rebuild with optimism and lead with resilience. We must work towards creating a more sustainable future, and that requires each and every one of us to play our part.

The ‘Building Resilience’ series aims to bring insight and experience from young leaders and experts that will equip you with the knowledge and confidence to lead through this uncertain time.
