ICAS launches the ICAS member app

  • LinkedIn (opens new window)
  • Twitter (opens new window)
By ICAS

12 November 2019

Main points

  • The ICAS member app is now available only at app.icas.com.
  • The app allows members to choose the topics they want to hear more about.
  • Articles can be saved onto the app and viewed offline to help members when they come to fill out their CPD record.

The ICAS member app, a single access point for CPD and learning materials, is now available to access on your mobile device.

As part of an ongoing refresh to the digital offerings at ICAS, the ICAS app is a new and improved way for members to view ICAS learning materials on their mobile devices.

The app is not available for download on the App Store or Google Play. To save the app to your mobile device's home screen, enter app.icas.com into your device's web browser and follow the on-screen instructions.

The app is a central resource for all ICAS learning content. Members will also be able to add anything they view on the app to their own personal learning log.

Articles saved on to this learning log become viewable offline, helping members complete their CPD record.

Personalisation

The ICAS app will give members the option to view content that has been specifically curated for them based on their personal topic interests.

Members will be given the option to choose from content topics, ensuring they are receiving the content that is relevant and interesting to them.

These choices will be reflected in the list of articles displayed on the app’s main feed.

From here, members can save specific articles to their record, allowing them to view them at a later date and while offline.

Note for Apple iPhone users

For Apple iPhone users only, the app benefits from some features of the iOS operating system v12.2 onwards. To provide you with the optimal experience please check that you have updated your iPhone’s operating system to at least v12.2.

To find the iOS version installed on your iPhone, go to Settings > General > About.

CA Today

To improve how we communicate with our members, the daily CA Today email will now also be delivered via the ICAS member app.

The new CA morning briefing will be redesigned to provide bitesize summaries of new content from ICAS, while continuing to provide members with links to the day’s top global news stories.

Keeping connected

ICAS understands the importance its members place on being connected to the Institute and to fellow CAs.

With this in mind, ICAS launched CA Connect earlier this month.

The ICAS app provides members with quick and easy access to the CA Connect platform, allowing for a streamlined way to book onto events and network with other members.

For more information on how to get the most out of the ICAS app and how to access it, take a look at our FAQs.

Bruce Cartwright CA, CEO, ICAS, said: “At ICAS we understand that the pace of technological change is moving quickly, and our members expect us to keep up with that pace.

“This is why I am pleased to announce the launch of the ICAS member app, giving CAs a more efficient way to access the latest ICAS content and learning materials from their mobile devices.

“Being a CA is synonymous with expert knowledge and our new app will provide an improved learning experience for members while making it easier for them to update their CPD record.

“I look forward to hearing feedback from our members on what they think about the ICAS member app.”

Access the ICAS member app on your mobile device now.
