Chartered Accountant Worldwide Network USA launches

  • LinkedIn (opens new window)
  • Twitter (opens new window)

19 November 2020

Main points:

  • ACAUS and Chartered Accountants Worldwide have joined together to form Chartered Accountants Worldwide Network USA.
  • The partnership provides support to and connects over 7,000 Chartered Accountants in the USA.
  • The collaboration raises the profile of chartered accountancy in this important market.

Chartered Accountants Worldwide Network USA has launched to provide support and to connect over 7,000 chartered accountants who are living and working in the USA.

ACAUS (The Association of Chartered Accountants USA) and Chartered Accountants Worldwide (CAW) have joined together to form Chartered Accountants Worldwide Network USA.

The partnership will provide professional support and represent the interests of chartered accountants who are Members of ICAS, CA ANZ, Chartered Accountants Ireland, SAICA and ICAEW.

This is the first regional network to be established by Chartered Accountants Worldwide and builds on over 40 years of support by ACAUS for chartered accountants in the USA.

Chartered Accountant Worldwide brings together over 1.8m members and students from 15 Chartered Accountancy institutes from around the world to support, develop and promote the vital role that Chartered Accountants play throughout the global economy.

Collaboration between these two organisations will allow them to work together to provide enhanced support to Members and raise the profile of chartered accountancy in this important market.

One of the key areas of interest is to expand and strengthen relationships between CAW, business leaders and the profession in the USA to facilitate interaction with Members as well as the cross-flow of information and ideas.

Kenneth Croarkin CA, ICAS’ Member representative on the new network, said: “Chartered Accountants Worldwide Network USA will be the first post of call for a chartered accountant coming to the US. If you come to the country without already having any professional network of your own, then having one you can just easily plug straight into really helps to get you introduced to whichever part of the US you are in.

“And the coming together of ACAUS and CAW will play a huge role in helping to raise the wider awareness of the chartered accountant qualification here in the US.”
