Connect to the profession – your guide to getting started

As an ICAS Member you are now part of a global professional network that’s packed with opportunities and insight.

Now that you’re a Member of the ICAS global business network it’s time to start making new professional connections – to your peers and all the opportunities, expertise and insight.

From our exclusive free-to-attend events and webinars, to local Area Networks and mentoring opportunities, we offer a range of ways for you to connect to success.

Below you’ll find all the information and links you need to help you get started and make the most of your ICAS membership.

Connect to the network

UK Area Networks

Our UK Area Networks provide a local link between ICAS and its Members. They do this by supporting events, helping you to navigate ICAS resources and by listening to your feedback. Your Network will be in touch soon to introduce themselves and with more information on local plans and how they can help you get connected.

International communities

We also have CA communities around the world, helping our international Members to network, share insights and stay up to date with the latest ICAS news.  To connect with your International Community please contact InternationalAN@icas.com or members@icas.com

Mentoring

By connecting with a professional mentor you can gain an invaluable opportunity to learn, collaborate and boost your professional development. And whether you’re looking to move up the ladder, make a change of direction or start your own business, we offer a range of mentoring opportunities - including our mentoring platform - to help you take that next step.

Be socially connected

Join us on social media to connect with the international ICAS network and stay updated with all that we’re doing to support you and the profession:

Connect to key ICAS updates, insights and offers

Based on your preferences, our targeted email service sends selected industry and ICAS news, insights, essential information and links to exclusive events and Member Rewards. There are two simple ways to ensure you stay connected to the information, services and support you need and want:

  1. Update your email preferences – log in to your 'My ICAS' profile at my.icas.com. Use the arrows to scroll through to the My Preferences screen and take a couple of minutes to review the options. If you’re not sure, start by opting in and then fine tuning your choice once you’ve had a chance to decide what works best for you.
  2. Add us to your contacts – by adding us (updates@updates.icas.com) to your contacts, VIP, Primary or Safe-Senders list you'll ensure that essential info makes it to your inbox and doesn't get lost amongst the junk.

Remember your obligation to keep us updated

Did you know that as a Member you have an obligation to notify ICAS of any changes to your registered (business or home) address and practice or employment details within one month of the change? You can update your personal information at any time by logging in to your ICAS Member profile.

Connect to insights and expertise

Free webinars and in-person events

Our free-to-attend webinars and events provide, inspiration, advice and connection. The Ask ICAS webinar series focuses on technical topics and gives you direct access to subject-matter experts from across the industry, whilst our ICAS Insights series helps to expand your knowledge and connect you to a range of fresh perspectives. Then there’s the CA Summit, our annual virtual conference, which gathers inspirational speakers from the fields of finance, technology, culture and commerce.

In addition, we host a range of in-person events, drinks receptions and dinners to help you socialise with peers and build your professional networks. Browse the calendar of events and webinars and find on-demand recordings of webinars you missed at icas.com/events.

Magazine and podcast

We aim to keep you informed and updated no matter where you are and in ways that fit with your busy lifestyle. You can catch episodes of our Finance+ Insights podcast and connect to the brightest minds from the worlds of business, accounting and technology. And not only is our award-winning CA Magazine packed with high-quality, though-provoking content, it’s digitally optimised to provide an engaging experience, no matter your device or location.

Show that you’re connected

Your CA designation

Now that you’re an ICAS Member you can use the letters CA after your name – a professional designation that’s exclusive to ICAS Members in the UK.

Give your LinkedIn a lift

Our ICAS and CAW-branded banner will give your LinkedIn a lift and show your network at-a-glance that you’re both professionally qualified and globally connected.

Your ICAS Member logo

You can also display the ICAS Member logo as an extra way of demonstrating the expertise and integrity that’s associated with being an ICAS Chartered Accountant. Add it to your business cards, email signature, social profiles and other marketing materials.

The CAW logo

Through ICAS you're now also part of the 750,000-member Chartered Accountants Worldwide network. Use the CAW network-member logo to further promote your professional credentials in a competitive global market.

Community connections

Through its charities, ICAS and its Members help to support those inside and out of the professional CA community.

SCABA – supporting CAs in times of need

The Scottish Chartered Accountants’ Benevolent Association (SCABA) supports CAs, their dependents and prospective CAs during times of need.

The ICAS Foundation – for a profession that's open to all

The ICAS Foundation allows CAs to give something back to the communities in which they live and work. There are a range of ways in which you can get involved, such as mentoring a young and aspiring CA.
