Don’t miss our wellbeing webinars this May

This May we have three wellbeing-themed webinars to inform and support ICAS Members and Students.

Throughout the month of May ICAS will be focusing its attention on the topic of mental fitness. The focus will mark the launch of our new mental fitness strategy. The strategy will be a long-term commitment that aims to break down the stigmas surrounding mental ill health in business, to make resources accessible to those who need them and see ICAS become a leader in this space.

As part of our month’s wellbeing focus we have three webinars for ICAS Members and Students that will help to start a healthy conversation, deliver insights and offer practical advice.

ICAS Insights: Ending workplace stigma linked to mental health

  • Recorded: Thursday 6 May, 2021

It’s well known that healthy and energised employees enhance business performance. Yet within many workplaces there still exists a great deal of stigma linked to mental health issues such as anxiety and depression.

To help us consider the problems and identify practical solutions, we were be joined by Geoff McDonald, former Global VP of Human Resources for Unilever. A keynote speaker, business transformation advisor and campaigner, Geoff now uses his personal mental-health insights and his professional experience to help inspire business leaders to embrace mental-health issues and empower their organisations to make positive change.

ICAS Insights: How to empty your ‘stress bucket’

  • Recorded: Tuesday 11 May, 2021

Too much negative thinking can leave you feeling overwhelmed and out of control. Understanding the biological process involved can enable you to manage these symptoms and leave you feeling better, mentally and physically.

As ICAS marked Mental Health Awareness Week we took time out to consider the effects of excessive negative thinking. To do this we were joined by Gin Lalli, a qualified Solution Focused Psychotherapist.

Gin examined the science behind anxiety, stress and depression and taught us how to empty our ‘stress bucket’.
