It’s time to ‘lead the way’ in charity finance

  • Charity finance
  • Professional development

It’s time to take the lead in charity finance by joining the Charity Finance Group’s (CFG’s) 2021 Annual Conference. Emma Abbott, Communications Manager at CFG, explains.

It’s time to ‘lead the way’ in charity finance

As a new ‘term’ and season unfolds, could we be forgiven for thinking that there’s a slight whiff of optimism in the air?

For those working in the charity sector, it has been a testing time, not least because many charities have seen income decrease while demands for their services have surged.

The closure of charity shops and the cancellation of fundraising events hit budgets hard, but charities remained resilient, pivoting quickly to move services and activities online.

All charities have stories to tell and lessons to impart, not only about how they coped through the pandemic, but how pressures have paved the way to innovative practice and lasting, positive change.

Many of these experiences will be shared at CFG’s forthcoming Annual Conference in October.

Be the change

The theme for 2021 is ‘Leading the Way: Effective, Inclusive, Resilient’ – which reflects all those qualities we strive to inspire, and our vision for charity finance.

The CFG team have pulled together an incredible line-up of speakers from both the charity and corporate sectors and we’re very excited to announce that Helen Stephenson, CEO of the Charity Commission for England and Wales, will be joining us.

Speakers and attendees are invited to tackle issues around equality, diversity and inclusion; discuss what net zero means for charity finance; and explore how we can continue to evolve as leaders and innovators in an increasingly challenging operating environment.
There will also be plenty of technical insights and workshops, so attendees can quickly get up-to-speed with the latest developments.

And with the event being held online for the second year running, more charity finance professionals than ever will be to make new connections.

We know that it can be difficult to find time to develop ourselves when we’re busy delivering for others... but if now isn’t the time to reach out, energise your thinking and look ahead to a brighter future – and help create it – when is?

Join us from 11 to 14 October and let’s positively ‘lead the way’ together!

For the full programme and to book your tickets for the CFG Annual Conference 2021 sponsored by HSBC, Sarasin & Partners, Oracle NetSuite and SmartSimple visit CFG’s website.
