Consumer Law - Distance selling, doorstep selling and enhanced consumer rights online course

This course provides an overview of the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 which deal predominantly with the rules on distance selling and doorstep selling.
There will also be a brief summary of enhanced rights given to consumers by the Consumer Protection (Amendment) Regulations 2014.

Course content
By the end of this course, you will have a greater understanding of:
- the key provisions of the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013
- the distance selling rules including the time periods for cancellation and refunds that apply as well as the rules concerning pre-ticked boxes and use of premium rate telephone help lines
- the rules relating to doorstep selling including the cancellation rules and time periods
- the key provisions of the Consumer Protection (Amendment) Regulations 2014
- the enhanced rights available to consumers by way of unwinding, refund and compensation
