Top Young CAs Terms and Conditions

Top Young CAs Landing Page
  1. Eligibility

The competition is open to all ICAS Chartered Accountants (CAs) who are aged 35 and under as of 30 June 2019 or non-CAs aged 35 and under who are due to be admitted to membership by 31 May 2019. CAs in this age group can nominate themselves or others. Any CAs or non-CAs may nominate CAs who are 35 and under. Those still studying for the qualification are welcome to nominate peers who have already qualified. Nominees need not be based in the UK to apply.

  2. Submission of nomination

Entries must be submitted online at icas.com/topyoungcas before midnight on Friday 15 March 2019. ICAS takes no responsibility for online entries delayed, incomplete or lost.

Entrants nominated by peers will be notified by email of the nomination and provided with the option to discontinue in the competition.

Entries will be treated in confidence and will not be circulated outside of judges and selected employees of ICAS who are involved in the running of the competition.

  3. Judging

All Top Young CA nominations will be judged by a panel of judges and the judges’ decisions are final and binding on nominees.

ICAS will contact the successful Top 100 Young CAs in April to confirm their position on the list. ICAS will not publish or keep nominees’ personal details without approval from the nominee.

Those shortlisted for the One Young CA award will also be contacted and informed in April. Those in the One Young CA shortlist will need to be available to meet the judging panel face-to-face, by Skype or by video call. The judging sessions will take place in June, location to be confirmed. Nominees are responsible for their own travelling costs.

  4. Prizes

Those who feature on the ICAS Top 100 Young CAs list will have unrivalled opportunities to boost their professional profile and network with high profile ICAS CAs.

The One Young CA winner will also receive the opportunity to represent ICAS at the One Young World Summit in London.

The category winners and the winner of the One Young CA competition must be available to attend the Future Generation Celebration event in London on 11 September 2019. The One Young CA winner must also be eligible to attend the One Young World Summit in London on 22 – 25 October 2019 (travel and accommodation are included as part of this prize). If the prize is declined or the winner forfeits the prize under these terms and conditions, ICAS may at their absolute discretion select an alternative winner.

  5. Marketing

ICAS reserves the right to publish entrants’ photos and biographical details with permission form nominees. Information submitted as part of a nomination may be quoted or used in marketing materials.

ICAS will remove all personal information of nominees and nominators 18 months after the close of the competition.

  6. Announcement of winner

The Top 100 Young CAs list will be announced in July 2019 on www.icas.com/topyoungcas and in the July/August 2019 edition of the CA Magazine. The category winners will be announced in August 2019.

The One Young CA winner will be announced on 11 September 2019 at ‘The Future Generation’ event at RICS, London.
