Become a CA Events & Webinars
ICAS normally holds several free-to-attend Become a CA recruitment events in September and October each year, to which students from all degree disciplines are invited.
Due to restrictions related to the coronavirus pandemic, our full programme of events for 2020 is yet to be confirmed. However, we do have several online events planned:
Heriot Watt University: Virtual Become a CA Event - Tuesday 22 September, 5.30pm - 7.30pm.
This event will begin with a brief presentation by ICAS followed by an opportunity to book into slots to speak with partner employers.
Edinburgh Napier University: Accounting Professional Pathways Event - Thursday 24 September, 2pm - 3pm.
ICAS will participate in a panel discussion around accounting pathways. Students will have an opportunity to hear directly from a recent CA trainee about his experiences.
Please contact Shannon Farrell for more information at firstname.lastname@example.org
ICAS Career Conversations webinar - Wednesday 30 September, 12 - 1pm
Chaired by ICAS Deputy President Bruce Pritchard CA, this webinar will be your chance to hear from three CAs who have all recently taken giant strides on their own successful CA careers. They will be able to provide insights, knowledge and practical suggestions for the aspiring CA or those who are just starting out on their CA journey.
Robert Gordon University: Virtual ICAS Event - Monday 5 October, 1pm - 3.45pm
This event will comprise two sessions: a Pre-Placements Opportunities session followed by a Graduate Opportunities section. Each session will open with a brief presentation by ICAS followed by an opportunity to book into slots to talk to employers.
University of Strathclyde: Virtual ICAS Information Evening - Thursday 8 October, 5 - 8pm
Students will have an opportunity to talk to partner employers about CA trainee positions. There will also be an opportunity to drop in on the ICAS stand for a Q&A or to discuss the CA qualification further.
