Annual subscription fees are due by 1 January each year.
Annual membership fees are based on your annual income and circumstances. If you have an annual income of less than £38,000 due to redundancy, retirement or taking a career break, you may be eligible for a reduced subscription.
Full subscription rates
Full rate - £600
Members with an expected annual income* for 2027 greater than the income threshold** (set annually by Council), you'll need to pay this fee. This also applies to affiliate members.
Reduced or waived subscription rates
Reduced rate – £150
Members with an expected income* for 2027 of less than £19,000 can apply for a reduced subscription rate charged at 25% of the full rate subscription fee.
Reduced rate - £300
Members with an expected income* for 2027 between £19,001 and £38,000 can apply for a reduced subscription rate charged at 50% of the full rate subscription fee
Special waiver - £0
ICAS may waive subscription fees for members on a discretionary basis.
Retired members subscription rates
Retired members fee (annual) - £150
Members who have fully retired and have no remunerated business and professional activities. Members must surrender any regulatory licences by 31 December 2026.
Retired members fee (one-off payment ) - £600
Members who have reached state retirement age by 1 January 2027, have fully retired and have no remunerated business and professional activities. Members must surrender any regulatory licences by 31 December 2026.
Please note, members under state retirement age who have fully retired are not eligible to pay the one-off retired members fee.

Complete a reduced subscription application form*Expected annual income is defined as all income, earned or unearned, from all sources including employment, self-employment, rental income and, investment income. Income from pensions, state benefits, health grants or bursaries should not be included when calculating annual income.
Lifetime waivers
Members aged 75 by 1 January 2027 will have their subscription fee waived. Member must have no regulatory licences and no remunerated business or professional activities.
