Reduced subscription, fee waiver or retired membership application
ICAS offers a range of membership fee options to support members whose circumstances may affect their ability to pay the full subscription rate. Depending on your situation, you may be eligible to apply for:
- A reduced subscription .
- A fee waiver .
- A retired membership subscription .
The application form allows you to apply for the option most appropriate to your circumstances.
Reduced subscription
You may be eligible for a reduced subscription if your expected annual income is less than £38,000 during the subscription year.
For the purposes of this application, expected annual income includes income earned or unearned, from all sources including employment, self-employment, rental income and, investment income. Income from pensions, state benefits, health grants or bursaries should not be included when calculating annual income.
Fee waiver
If you are experiencing significant financial hardship or ill health, you may be eligible to apply for a full waiver of your subscription fee.
Applications are considered on an individual basis and supporting evidence may be requested.
Retired membership subscription
If you have permanently retired from paid employment, you are eligible for a reduced retired membership subscription rate and may be eligible for a one-off lifetime membership fee.
For subscription fee purposes, members undertaking voluntary or pro bono work may still be considered fully retired, provided they receive no remuneration for business or professional activities. However, this does not affect their status for ICAS CPD requirements.
