HMRC has published detailed guidance on Mandatory Tax Adviser Registration on 2 June.

The published guidance covers who has to register and checks against registration requirements.

This is the first of the detailed guidance on tax adviser registration and contains sections on complex groups and overseas businesses.

Mandatory Tax Adviser Registration impacts advisers who provide paid tax advice and interact with HMRC.

Registration is open now for tax advisers who don’t have an Agent Services Account or Self Assessment/Corporation Tax account.
