Discover how you can maximise your mentoring experience by updating your profile as your career progresses.

We’re always looking for ways to help our members and students get the most from the ICAS Mentoring programme.

One simple way to enhance your experience is by keeping your profile up to date. You can do this by adding any new skills and experience, and to consider using the various topic tags available from our mentoring platform.

While the tags are completely optional, they’re a great way to help us match you with the most suitable mentors or mentees when creating or updating your profile.

We regularly add new tags, so here’s a look at our latest categories:

  • Allyship
  • Bullying in the workplace
  • Career break
  • Disability
  • Discrimination in the workplace
  • Imposter syndrome
  • LGBTQ
  • Menopause
  • Mental health and wellbeing
  • Motherhood and/or caring responsibilities
  • Racial inequalities
  • Returning to work after adoption leave, maternity leave, parental leave
  • Social mobility

If you’re looking for a mentor, here’s the drop-down menu you’ll see in your profile:

You can choose any of the categories that apply to you.

If you’re a mentor, here’s what you’ll see from the drop-down menu in your profile:

Again, you can choose any of the topics you are comfortable with supporting potential mentees.

If you have any questions or require additional support, please contact careermentoring@icas.com.

Our Member Engagement team will be happy to help you – and remember, our free mentoring programme is available to both ICAS students and members.
