ICAS Investigation Committee - Request for New Member – Insolvency Practitioner

ICAS would be delighted to hear from Insolvency Practitioners who would be interested in joining the Investigation Committee.

ICAS must serve the public interest effectively if we are to pursue our strategy of ‘Building the Global Professional Community’. By ensuring that high standards of conduct and competence are maintained, we build public confidence in the accountancy profession, protecting the reputations of all CAs.

The Investigation Committee is responsible for the investigation and assessment of the complaints which are made against Members, Firms, CA Student Members and Affiliates. Meeting five times a year, its membership is evenly balanced between CAs and Public Interest Members. Its current convener is Ian Robertson CA, Past-President of ICAS. There is a particular need for Insolvency Practitioners to serve on the Investigation Committee, as a significant proportion of the complaints received by ICAS involve insolvency issues.

If you are keen to become involved with the Investigation Committee, please contact Robert Mudge, Head of Investigations, as follows:
