ICAS seeks sole practitioner to join new regulatory committee

22 January 2016

ICAS has a developmental approach to regulation. We not only ensure compliance with regulations but also assist firms in improving their processes and maintaining high professional standards of work.

We will be establishing a new committee this year, responsible for all licences that ICAS is competent to award.  The committee will be responsible for ensuring that all members, affiliates and firms maintain high standards, through support initiatives in the first instance, but with the power to impose regulatory conditions and sanctions as necessary.

The new committee will consolidate the current roles of the Audit Registration Committee, Public Practice Committee, Insolvency Permit Committee and CPD Regulatory Committee, and assume responsibility for future regulatory models.

It is vitally important that this committee is representative of our regulatory community.

There is an opportunity for a sole practitioner, with a strong regulatory record, to join the committee from April 2016.

If you would like to contribute to the work of ICAS, and have an interest in helping other firms and practitioners to deliver the high standards expected by the public, please note your interest or send your CV to Michelle Mullen, Executive Director, Regulation.
