The new Statutory Residence Test has been in effect since 6 April 2013. This course will examine the detail of the new rules to be enacted in the Finance Act 2013 together with the tax planning issues using practical examples.

This course includes guidance on the new rules based on the Consultation Document and draft legislation / Finance Bill / Act 2013. Also, it looks at how to deal with planning for the new rules and avoidance of pitfalls.

This course is aimed at accountants, lawyers and other professionals advising individuals coming to the UK or leaving the UK to work or live abroad. The course also deals with taxation of UK source income received by non-resident individuals.
