Categories

ICAS has identified three overarching themes that feature on CA agendas and will focus on these issues during 2019 and beyond as the business and professional environment undergoes unprecedented levels of change.

In this year’s awards, we wish to identify young CAs who are tackling these issues, rising to the challenges they present and finding solutions that will shape the new operating environment.

We want to find visionaries, innovators and those with an unwavering commitment to ethical leadership. We hope to identify the most inspiring role models who recognise the wider role they play in society and who are #ProudtobeaCA.

Technology

How will the rapid advances in technology re-shape the way that business, accountancy and audit functions operate? What role can CAs play in regulating and monitoring the consequences of new technologies in the public interest?

As a CA, how are you using and developing the innovative technologies that are transforming our profession and the business environment?

Trust

How will CAs play an instrumental role as architects in re-building public trust in business, the financial sector and the profession as a whole? Are you living the values of ethical integrity, moral courage and The Power of One?

As a CA, how are you playing a role a re-building public trust in business and / or the profession?

Talent

How do CAs add value to business, practice and public service in an ever-changing operating environment? What kind of leaders will businesses need in the future? How can we develop the skills required to provide visionary direction?

As a CA, how do you exemplify the talent and / or leadership qualities that businesses need in a fast-evolving operating environment?

Or...

We foresee the Young CAs having a positive impact in these areas as pacesetters for the future of ICAS and the profession as a whole. However, exceptional candidates operating outside these spheres of influence may be eligible for special recognition.
