Key points

  • Logo is exclusive to ICAS Members and Member firms.
  • Showcases the values for which CAs are known.
  • Represents heritage and expertise.

ICAS has made available a version of its logo that's exclusively for use by Members and Member Firms.

During these uncertain times, ICAS is here to support its Members and has implemented a range of measures to ensure they receive the help and advice they need.

The ICAS Coronavirus Hub contains help, guidance and information for Members, Students and firms.

Much like many of our Member’s businesses, the operational functions of ICAS need to continue despite the difficulties we are all living through.

As part of its ongoing commitment to its Members and the integrity of the CA qualification, ICAS is pleased to announce the launch of a version of our logo for use by Members and Member firms.

The new logo incorporates the ICAS logo, allowing Members to communicate that they are an ICAS Chartered Accountant with all the expertise and integrity that is associated with being a CA.

The ICAS logo is not just a means of recognising the organisation, it is an important part of ICAS’ history.

Each roundel and its colour represent the foundations of ICAS:

  • Green represents The Glasgow Institute of Accountants and Actuaries, formed in 1855
  • Red represents The Aberdeen Society of Accountants, formed in 1867
  • Yellow represents The Edinburgh Society of Accountants, formed in 1854
  • Blue represents Scotland and the formation of ICAS in 1951, unifying the separate societies.

The ICAS Members logo allows all our Members – no matter their industry, size or location – to illustrate their profession, and showcase what it means to be an ICAS Chartered Accountant.

This new logo will replace the single blue roundel with the CA designation featured in the middle. This can be phased out over time, so there is no need to replace immediately.

All Members of ICAS are entitled to use the ICAS Member logo on their letterhead, business cards, website, email signature and marketing materials.

Bruce Cartwright CA, ICAS CEO, said: “We know how proud our members are to be CAs and to have trained with ICAS. This sense of pride can be seen in our Proud to be a CA initiative, where CA from across the world have shared what the CA designation means to them.

“With that in mind, we want to ensure we are providing members with the means to accurately display their expertise whilst building on the heritage that is associated with being an ICAS Chartered Accountant.

“This new member logo does just that.”
