Top Young CAs 2020 Terms and Conditions

1. Eligibility
The competition is open to all ICAS Chartered Accountants (CAs) who are aged 35 and under, as of 1 June 2020. Any CA or non-CA may nominate CAs and are welcome to nominate more than one. CAs who fall within this age group, can also nominate themselves. Those still studying for the qualification are welcome to nominate peers, however only those who have been fully admitted to ICAS membership can be nominated.
If a CA has featured on three or more previous Top Young CA (or its previous iteration) lists their name will automatically not be put forward for the 2020 competition, unless there is demonstratable evidence of significant achievement since their last nomination Similarly, if a CA has been a previous category winner, they are not eligible to enter the One Young CA competition. The nominator will not be notified of this decision.
2. Submission of nomination
Entries must be submitted online at icas.com/topyoungcas before midnight on Sunday 15 March 2020. ICAS takes no responsibility for online entries delayed, incomplete or lost.
Entrants nominated by peers will be notified by email of the nomination and provided with the option to withdraw from the competition should they chose to.
Entries will be treated in confidence and will not be circulated outside of judges and selected employees of ICAS who are involved in the running of the competition.
3. Judging
All Top Young CA nominations will be judged by a panel of judges and the judges’ decisions are final and binding on nominees.
ICAS, or it’s representative River Group (as publisher of CA Magazine), will contact the successful Top 100 Young CAs in April 2020 to confirm their inclusion on the list. ICAS will not publish or keep nominees’ personal details without approval from the nominee.
Those shortlisted for the One Young CA award will also be contacted and informed in April. Those entrants selected for the One Young CA shortlist will need to be available to present and be interviewed by the judging panel. These virtual judging sessions will take place in April 2020.
Nominees are responsible for any costs occurred as part of the process.
