Aspiring Leaders Coaching Programme

Aspiring Leaders Coaching

The ICAS Aspiring Leaders Coaching Programme for those who wish to develop their leadership and accelerate their professional success.

Do you aspire to secure a senior leadership role either in your current organisation or another? Are you looking to develop your network and meet other professionals who are at a similar career stage to you? Are you working out the best way to take the next steps into leadership? Then the Aspiring Leaders Coaching Programme is for you.

Getting to the top of any organistion requires a mindset and skill set that goes beyond technical expertise. This programme is designed to help aspiring leaders leverage their technical ability by developing their leadership capability.

ICAS is proud to endorse coaching specialists Leading Figures with their exclusive and unique Aspiring Leaders Coaching Programme which explores the themes that take people to the top.

This interactive, virtual programme is open to aspiring leaders, including members and non-members of ICAS.

Programme Structure

The programme comprises three group sessions interleaved with three 1:1 sessions, has evolved through experience and very positive participant feedback.

The three 90-minute virtual Group Coaching Sessions offer participants:

  • time to think and reflect
  • a supportive and confidential virtual environment for personal growth
  • an opportunity to share professional challenges and aspirations
  • the reassurance that we all face similar issues and concerns
  • a chance to build bonds with an intimate network of like-minded professionals
  • collective learning and development on key leadership skills as outlined below

The three 45-minute virtual interleaved 1:1 Coaching Sessions offer participants the opportunity to:

  • invest in themselves
  • develop their learning and understanding on any or all of the subjects covered in the group sessions
  • hold conversations of a very personal nature in a confidential virtual safe-space
  • take the conversation to a much deeper, professionally intimate level
  • explore personal and professional issues of a sensitive nature
  • share challenges and aspirations with a non-judgemental confidant
  • design plans and develop strategies for personal and professional success
  • overcome hurdles and accelerate career progression

Programme Content

Sessions include the opportunity for Leading Figures to share models and research as well as learning and development tools, insights and information on a variety of topics that are likely to be of interest to aspiring leaders such as: the Mindset for Personal Growth; Introduction to Leadership; Stepping up to a Leadership Role; Leading a team and the Meaning of Inclusive Leadership; Developing Emotional Intelligence; and Building Resilience.

I recently attended the Aspiring Leaders programme. Thomas and Russell led the group sessions, sharing their knowledge on a variety of topics that affect those developing into, or already in, leadership roles. They created a collaborative and open environment, encouraging all involved to share their own experiences and difficulties. I worked with Thomas in the 1:1 sessions – he was great! He really helped me pinpoint the key issues holding me back, which allowed us to explore how to overcome those challenges and improve my confidence as a leader, both professionally and personally. I highly recommend the programme."

Ryan Allan, Director at Scholes Chartered Accountants.
