The Joint Insolvency Examination Board (JIEB) examinations are a set of professional exams for those who want to become a licensed insolvency practitioner.
Recognised both inside and outside insolvency, the JIEB is your opportunity to lay the foundations for a career in one of the UK's most rewarding professions.
ICAS Professional Development provides an excellent study programme in partnership with BPP, to prepare you for the JIEB assessments. Our training programmes are delivered through a blended learning approach incorporating live interactive lectures as well as classroom-based teaching in Edinburgh. All our sessions are recorded, with opportunities to stream and watch any sessions you may have missed.
The Joint Insolvency Examination Board (JIEB) have announced that from 2018 onwards, there will only be one corporate paper and one personal insolvency paper with the exams taking place in November. The exams will also be computer-based and there is the introduction of a case study question in each paper. All candidates are required to apply for examinations through a Recognised Professional Body such as ICAS.
The Joint Insolvency Examination Board have indicated their intention to test the new Scottish rules for the 2019 sitting.
