Constitutional Panel
Purpose of Board/Committee/Panel
Council is required to have a Constitutional Panel (the ‘Panel’). The Panel is responsible for:
- Making recommendations to Council in relation to proposed amendments to the ICAS Rules and Regulations.
The Panel shall consider the drafting of amendments in line with the general principles of Accessibility & transparency, Consistency, Effectiveness and Proportionality. The underlying policy of the amendments will already have been considered by the Board or Committee which proposed the changes.
Role on Board/Committee/Panel
The Panel has a vacancy for an ICAS member/non-member. The successful candidate will have an eye for detail and be expected to constructively challenge information presented to the Panel and actively participate in meetings.
Term
All board/committee/panel members are appointed for an initial term of three years and may be appointed for a further three-year term.
Meetings
Meetings are typically held virtually via MS Teams and occur as and when they are required.
Remuneration
This is a voluntary role. Should an in-person meeting be required, members will be reimbursed for reasonable travel and accommodation expenses.
