TPS Assurance and Business Systems - exam debrief resource

New TPS Assurance & Business Systems revision resource

In response to feedback gathered from recent student surveys, ICAS are launching a new revision resource to be available free of charge to those unsuccessful in the TPS Assurance & Business Systems exam.

The resource will be a detailed recorded debrief of the TPS exam prepared by the ABS Subject Controller.  The debrief will cover the technical content of the exam with particular focus on exam technique and question approach.

The recording will be made available through the Student Portal and will begin with a debrief of the June 2019 ABS exam which will be available shortly after the release of the exam results.

This new resource will replace the verbal feedback service.  The cost of the verbal feedback coupled with the availability of feedback on either the paper 1 or paper 2 exam paper only, diluted the perceived value to those considering applying for the service.  Furthermore,
on analysis it has become clear that a high volume of students receiving verbal feedback demonstrate weakness in similar areas and that advice on exam technique tends to be universally applicable as well as a root cause for poor performance.  The new resource is expected to be useful and universally
accessible and used in conjunction with the ABS examiners report help students in assessing their performance and planning for resit diets.
