Some of you will be embarking on ITP (ICAS Tax Professional) studies in the coming weeks, moving towards exams in September this year. We wanted to remind you about the resources available to you as you get stuck into your tax books!

If you’re not currently studying for ITP, and wonder what this is, then watch out for a future article telling you more about the qualification and what it entails. CAs have a number of exemptions and if you can’t wait to find out more you can delve deeper here.

You might be studying on any of our three delivery routes:

  • Classroom – face to face tuition with experienced tutors;
  • ITP Live – live online classes every two weeks with experienced tutors; or
  • ITP Online – fully flexible online learning allowing to study when it suits you.

No matter how you are studying, you will always receive a full set of notes produced jointly by ICAS and Tolley Tax Training. Your notes contain all the material you need in relation to the exam, and they are updated annually.

They will have legislative references for you, along with worked illustrations and examples. Every chapter has a clear summary, allowing you to collate these into a separate folder as a revision tool.

ITP study resources

One of our tutors previously provided some guidance on using legislation books in CA exams – but the advice is the same for ITP.

The infographic will help you to see why your material looks so large – it contains much more than just technical facts. If you are studying for ITP and can’t find any of the material, feel free to get in touch.
