Having a mentor to help guide your career can prove to be an invaluable advantage as you strive to achieve your goals. But how does it actually work?

Your mentor is there to encourage your strengths, offer their perspective on decisions you have to make, aid with networking and raising your professional profile, and ultimately help you move forward in your career.
