The ICAS Top 100 Young CAs competition, held in association with Investec Click & Invest, celebrates our brightest young members. A selection of 2017 35 CAs under 35 share why you should nominate the CAs in your network.

This year's Top 100 Young CAs list follows on from the immense success of the 35 CAs under 35 awards in previous years. We had a record number of entries in 2017 and look forward to honouring even more Young CAs in 2018.

Strategy and Transformation Director at pladis

Leadership category winner and One Young CA 2017

"Being featured on the list was quite a surprise. I would normally look at these types of events and think it could never be me. Plus, as a bit of an introvert, I wouldn’t usually seek out the exposure being featured brings. However, it has given me lots of motivation to keep carving out where I can make a difference.

"It has been a huge privilege to be part of the 35 CAs under 35 and it has given me a platform to highlight areas that I can contribute to. For example, I have been asked to mentor another couple of amazing people where I can support their development."

Natalie Jackson CANatalie Jackson CA

Associate at QMPF LLP

Sustainability & CSR category finalist

"Being involved in the competition has provided the opportunity to meet lots of inspirational people, specifically other nominees in the competition, those involved in ICAS and individuals speaking at the Young Leaders Summit 2017.

"It has provided the opportunity to discover more about the different projects CAs are involved with, both in the UK and abroad. It’s been amazing to see the impact people are having in their chosen field."

Graeme Morrison CAGraeme Morrison CA

Corporate Development at RBS

Leadership category finalist

"It was certainly a proud moment to receive the notification that I had been nominated; all those hours of commitment and hard work had been noticed by someone at RBS and they took the time to recognise it, which was very uplifting.

"On a personal level, it has served as a real confidence booster and motivator to continue to develop, add real value and be the best that I can be as I continue on this career path."

Kimberley Oliver CAKimberly Oliver CA

Director at Xenith Financial

Entrepreneurship category finalist

"The experience and exposure that the competition gives you are fantastic. I felt reconnected to ICAS and it was great to have the ability to meet so many other young CAs from all across the globe who were achieving such great things. It is a very humbling experience to reach the shortlist."

Andrew Hope CAAndrew Hope CA

Associate at Quest Corporate

Entrepreneurship category finalist

"To be acknowledged for my positive impact on the businesses I work with is very motivating. The recognition from my peers, seniors and ICAS has given me the confidence to take on new and challenging opportunities which will undoubtedly help further my career.

"The list is a fantastic platform to raise your personal profile, gain exposure to the CA and wider business community, and a great opportunity to meet like-minded individuals and expand your personal network."

Colleen Welsh CAColleen Welsh CA

Accountant in Business Support at Chiene + Tait

Sustainability & CSR category finalist

"I was able to meet with other finalists and members of the ICAS team who I might not have had the chance to meet if I hadn’t been on the list. My network has grown and I’ve been able to develop some great relationships from it.

"It also really helped me when changing jobs as it was a focal point on my CV and I found that potential employers were impressed that I had accomplished this so early on in my career."
