OECD publishes latest Global Economic Outlook

The OECD will release a new full Global Economic Outlook on Wednesday. The most recent projections suggest the publication will again report a slow rate of expansion for the world economy and a continued decline in trade and investment figures.

The ICAS Practitioners' Conference takes place on Thursday

The 2016 Practitioners' Conference is set for 2 June at 200 SVS in Glasgow. Keynote speaker Steve Pipe is a best-selling author, dynamic speaker and founder of Accountants Changing the World. Topics planned include the central theme of 'The Inspirational Practice' as well as cloud accounting, cyber security and employment. Tickets are still available.

Bank of England releases its Money and Credit report

The Bank of England will publish the Money and Credit statistical release for May 2016 on 1 June. The report contains data on broad financial matters and lending figures for individuals and businesses.

ICAS is hosting a reception at the House of Commons

An exclusive reception takes place inside the Palace of Westminster on Wednesday, bringing CAs face to face with senior politicians ahead of the referendum on Britain's future in Europe. ICAS Chief Executive Anton Colella and ICAS President Ken McHattie CA will be in attendance.

Prime Minister answers EU questions live on air

Prime Minister David Cameron will address EU referendum questions and concerns from journalists and the public in an hour-long Sky News special broadcast on Thursday. Justice Secretary Michael Gove, a prominent voice in the Vote Leave campaign, will appear on Friday evening.
