The UK's 'top 25' CEOs as chosen by their employees
The CEOs of Deloitte UK, PwC and EY have all been counted in a list of the UK's top 25 highest employee-rated executives by Glassdoor.
The Glassdoor 2016 Employees’ Choice Awards results were determined by CEO feedback volunteered by employees in company reviews on the site.
Craig Donaldson, CEO of Metro Bank, made his debut in the awards by topping the list with an approval rating of 99%. Reviews praise the non-hierarchical company culture and the open door policies of senior staff, particularly Craig.
Robert Hohman, Glassdoor CEO and Co-Founder, said: “The Glassdoor Employees’ Choice Awards honour CEOs that stand out for having gained the support and approval of their workforce. No easy task for any leader.”
David Sproul, Senior Partner and Chief Executive of Deloitte UK, came 22nd with an average review of 95%. Employees commented on the impact of the brand, dedication to training and the inspirational leaders at the top.
David has been in charge of Deloitte UK for five years and held several senior positions at the firm prior to his current title. During his tenure he has overseen the creation of Deloitte Digital and the delivery of the business' support to the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Dennis M. Nally, Chairman of PwC International, placed 23rd as reviewers praised the 'excellent leadership' of the company.
Previously the Chairman and Senior Partner of the US branch of PwC, Dennis has been head of the firm since 2009. He leads many of PwC’s corporate responsibility efforts, including involvement with organisations such as the World Economic Forum and the UN.
Mark Weinberger, Global Chaiman and CEO at EY, made the list at 25th place. 94% of employees who submitted reviews to Glassdoor said they approved of the executive team and rated the company's values highly.
Mark came into his current role in 2013. He is a Co-Founder of Washington Counsel PC and previously served as the Assistant Secretary of the United States Department of the Treasury (Tax Policy) in the George W. Bush Administration. He also chairs the American Business Roundtable Committee on Tax and Fiscal Policy.
Rosaleen Blair, CEO of Alexander Mann Solutions, came in at 10th place and was the only woman to appear on the list.
