The top CEOs in the US and Canada
CEOs from two of the Big Four firms have been ranked alongside those from Facebook and Google in a new list of the top business leaders in the US and Canada.
John B. Veihmeyer of KPMG, and Mark Weinberger of EY, placed 13th and 14th respectively in the US Glassdoor Employees’ Choice Awards Highest Rated CEOs list for 2016.
Glassdoor, a recruitment and job site, bases the list on feedback anonymously provided by employees.
With 2016 being his debut, Bob Bechek, CEO of consultancy firm Bain & Company, topped the list with a 99% employee approval rating. Bain & Company has featured in the top five of the Glassdoor Best Places Work list for the past eight years in a row.
Social network king-pin Mark Zuckerberg came in at number four, with a 97% employee approval rating. The Facebook founder previously held the top spot in 2013.
Jeff Weiner, CEO of business-oriented social networking site LinkedIn, came in 5th, having previously knocked Mark Zuckerberg into 10th place to claim the number one slot in 2014. It was announced this week that LinkedIn, which launched in 2003, is to be bought by software giant Microsoft for a reported $26.2bn.
Continuing with the tech theme, Google’s Sundar Pichai and Apple CEO Tim Cook place 7th and 8th respectively, both scoring an employee approval rating of 96%.
