10 best paying cities in the world
Research from Deutsche Bank has revealed Zurich in Switzerland to have the highest average monthly salary rate in the world.
The 2017 'Mapping the world's prices' report analyses the global cost of living by examining the international prices goods and services with their economic offsets. The data on after-tax average salaries is a new addition to the research this year.
Cities that function as financial centres feature prominently in the table of highest salaries, namely Zurich, New York City and Singapore. However, these are also reportedly some of the most expensive places to live.
London, Dublin and Edinburgh all appeared in the top 50 of the report, and Edinburgh achieved the second position for overall quality of life.
