Tech companies dominate the top 10 best places to work in the US, according to a new survey.

Recruitment marketplace Glassdoor has announced the winners of its Employee Choice Awards, which recognise the best places to work in the USA.

The online rental service Airbnb made its debut on the list as the number one place to work in the US. One employee review praised the company’s founders saying that they “are great people and I believe they have the best intentions for the company, the employees, and our community”.

The list is based solely on the input of employees who voluntarily provide anonymous feedback on the Glassdoor website, by completing a company review about their job, work environment and employer over the past year.

Airbnb is one of six tech companies featuring in the top 10 which include Guidewire, Hubspot, Facebook and LinkedIn. Google, who scooped the top spot last year, placed at number eight, making 2016 its eighth consecutive year on the list.
