ICAS are proud to announce our partnership with the Scottish Accountancy & Finance Awards 2017, which promises to be a glittering highlight in the accountancy calendar.

The prestigious awards, run by Business Insider, recognise the hard work undertaken by individuals and teams in the financial services industry, who have played a vital role in ensuring the success of both private and public sector organisations. The awards are returning for their tenth year and will celebrate the often behind the scenes work carried out by accountants.

The 2016 CA award winners

A number of prominent CAs enjoyed success last year, and saw their achievements rewarded and applauded by their peers at the prestigious ceremony.  2016 saw two CAs and two CA firms honoured at the awards, with Phil McNaull CA of the University of Edinburgh winning ‘Finance Director of the year’, for "building up trust in the finance team across the whole of the organisation".

Graeme Menzies CA, Finance Director of AFG Media/MorphCostumes, was crowned ‘emerging Finance Director of the year’ and was praised by the judges for being “at the heart of the company’s development”.

CA firm Campbell Dallas won three awards on the night, including ‘large accountancy firm of the year’ with the judges commenting the firm had “demonstrated outstanding achievements". Chiene + Tait’s Entrepreneurial Tax Team, also a CA firm, won the ‘tax team of the year’ award.

Nominate an inspirational accountant

Entries are now open for the awards, which aim to acknowledge the talent and achievements of accountants from across the world of business, finance, and the public sector.

The awards are your opportunity to recognise the achievements and expertise of your fellow CAs and celebrate the contributions of those who have impacted on the success of the profession.
