Revenue Scotland board appointed

The board of Scotland's new tax authority, Revenue Scotland, has been announced by Finance Secretary John Swinney.

Scientist and company director, Dr Keith Nicholson, will chair the board, which includes John Whiting OBE, tax director at the Office of Tax Simplification and solicitor Jane Ryder OBE, a former chief executive of the Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator and current chair of Arts and Business Scotland.

The board also includes accountant Lynn Bradley, a university teacher at the Adam Smith Business School in Glasgow and Ian Tait, director of investment at the Water Industry Commission for Scotland.
