There's less than one week to go until nominations for the ICAS One Young CA competition and 35 CAs under 35 list close on 27 May 2016.

Building on last year's successful contest, this year's awards will honour the top 35 CAs under 35 in a highly publicised list and crown one CA as this year's One Young CA winner.

Expert judges from across the industry will be drawing on years of experience to select the most promising and inspiring young talent from the next generation of industry leaders.

All 35 finalists will receive a free place at the flagship ICAS conference in September 2016 and the full benefits of a mentor in Career Connect - the ICAS Career Mentoring Programme.

The overall winner of the 35 CAs Under 35 awards will be named this year's One Young CA and will represent ICAS at the prestigious One Young World Summit in Ottawa, Canada. The summit is an international conference that brings together the brightest young leaders from around the world, empowering them to make lasting connections and create positive change.

In addition, four CAs will be awarded top prizes in each nomination category, including a voucher for BPP/ICAS training courses and a coveted seat at the CA dinner in either London or Edinburgh.

The categories are intended to isolate the qualities that ICAS values and take into account the different ways young CAs are making their mark.

  • Entrepreneurship: Do you have the passion and drive to take on a business venture and see it through? Have you proven yourself as an organised developer and risk management savant?
  • Leadership: Can you motivate and inspire others to move forward? Do you affect change and set direction for your colleagues to follow?
  • Sustainability & CSR: Does social awareness and professional responsibility impact every aspect of your work? Are you dedicated to making a positive difference in the world?
  • Influence & Innovation: Are you listened to as a problem solver? Can you implement new solutions and revolutionise practices for maximum impact?

Addressing the ICAS presence at One Young World, Founder Kate Robertson said: "Stand up for your profession. Fight for your place at the summit because it is a life-changing experience.

"We are so glad to have you there, to have a professional body represented is incredible. We are using you as an example to all the others."

How to enter

Entries to the 35 CAs Under 35 awards can be made through the One Young CA website.

All ICAS CAs under 35 are eligible to enter the competition. CAs can nominate themselves (or others) to be recognised as a top CA under 35. Both CAs and non-CAs can nominate.
