New team focus on ICAS strategy
The ICAS Council met in London on 10 and 11 May for the first time since the April elections.
The meeting focused almost entirely on future strategic direction.
New President Sandy Manson chaired and new CEO Bruce Cartwright presented the strategy for discussion to an audience that included 11 new Council members.
The Executive left the meeting with a clear mandate to deliver an ambitious change program.

Bruce Cartwright said: “There was an inevitable and healthy feel of transformation.
"Council discussed the strategic ambition as well as specific priorities around our education delivery and how we engaged with members.
"It was also agreed that this was an appropriate time to review the Institute’s governance structure.
“The Executive left the meeting with a clear mandate to deliver on an ambitious change program to develop an ICAS fit for the fast-changing environment in which the Institute now operates.”
