Tributes are paid to the CAs who have recently passed away.

William Leslie Campbell Anderson CA

William Leslie Campbell Anderson CA, who lived in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe, died on 10 March 2015 aged 77. He was born on 14 August 1937. He was exam qualified in January 1960 and admitted to membership in March 1960. Prior to retirement, Mr Anderson was partner at Deloitte & Touche, Zimbabwe.

John George Graham Barclay CA

John George Graham Barclay CA, who lived in Glasgow, died on 28 April 2015 aged 59. He was born on 14 May 1955 and admitted to membership on 21 December 1979. Prior to his death, Mr Barclay was partner at Affinity Property Partners LLP.

David Andrew Biggart CA

The death has been announced of David Andrew Biggart CA, who lived in Glasgow and was born on 29 January 1931. He was admitted to membership on 30 March 1955. Prior to retirement, Mr Biggart was consultant at Wylie & Bisset, Glasgow.

Charles Crighton Bremner CA

Charles Crighton Bremner CA, who lived in Aberdeen, died on 11 April 2015 aged 76. He was born on 12 April 1938 and admitted to membership on 29 March 1961. Prior to retirement, Mr Bremner worked at Berkhof UK Ltd, Basingstoke.

Tom Carruthers CA

Tom Carruthers CA, who lived in Dunfermline, died on 12 May 2015 aged 72. He was born on 11 October 1942 and admitted to membership on 30 November 1965. Prior to retirement, Mr Carruthers was consultant at Carruthers (T) & Co.

Henry Crichton Craig CA

Henry Crichton Craig CA, who lived in Jersey, died on 18 March 2015 aged 79. He was born on 19 March 1935 and admitted to membership on 23 November 1962. Prior to retirement, Mr Craig was consultant at Reads & Co, Jersey.

Elizabeth Philippa Davidson MA CA

Elizabeth Philippa Davidson MA CA, who lived in Inverurie, died on 23 March 2015 aged 85. She was born on 12 June 1929 and admitted to membership on 17 September 1954. Prior to retirement, Miss Davidson was partner at Deloitte Haskins & Sells.

Douglas Erskine CA

Douglas Erskine CA, who lived in Belize, died in September 2014 aged 69. He was born on 21 February 1945 and admitted to membership on 18 November 1969. Prior to retirement, Mr Erskine was partner at PKF Belize.

Robert Francis Houston CA

Robert Francis Houston CA, who lived in Glasgow, died on 4 June 2015 aged 72. He was born on 1 January 1943 and admitted to membership on 28 November 1967. Prior to retirement, Mr Houston was chief internal auditor at Strathclyde Passenger Transport.

Alan Gordon Mcbain CA

Alan Gordon Mcbain CA, who lived in Aberdeen, died on 15 May 2015 aged 78. He was born on 25 April 1937 and admitted to membership on 9 March 1961. Prior to his death, Mr McBain was sole practitioner at A Gordon McBain.

Stuart Fleming Nicol CA

Stuart Fleming Nicol CA, who lived in Edinburgh, died on 24 March 2015 aged 75. He was born on 27 July 1939 and admitted to membership on 30 November 1965. Prior to retirement, Mr Nicol was non-executive director at Stuart F Nicol.

Walter Gilbert Mearns Nimmo CA

Walter Gilbert Mearns Nimmo CA, who lived in Madeira, died on 21 January 2015 aged 68. He was born on 10 June 1946 and admitted to membership on 15 December 1972. Prior to his death, Mr Nimmo was director at Masako Watanabe & Associates Limited.

Margaret Agnes Nisbet CA

Margaret Agnes Nisbet CA, who lived in Airdrie, died on 31 May 2015 aged 53. She was born on 6 October 1961 and admitted to membership on 4 February 1985. Prior to her death, Ms Nisbet was project accountant at Chivas Brothers.

Edna Wighton CA

Edna Wighton CA, who lived in London, died on 29 April 2015 aged 90. Mrs Wighton was born on 9 July 1924 and admitted to membership on 26 March 1952.

Thomas Greig (Tom) Wighton CA

The family of Thomas Greig (Tom) Wighton CA, who died on 19 November 2014, wish to express their sincere thanks to all relatives and friends for their kind expressions of sympathy.

Born on 21 February 1937 in Dundee, Mr Wighton attended Morgan Academy where he excelled in his academic studies. He was admitted to membership on 25 November 1963 and went on to join Associated British Foods where he rose to become financial director of Allied Bakeries Ltd, a position he found both challenging and stimulating.

Mr Wighton nevertheless believed his finest role was that of a family man and he was a beloved husband to Ella and a much-loved father, father-in-law and grandfather.
