ICAS launches search for top 35 CAs under 35
ICAS is launching a search for the top 35 CAs under 35 for the first time, as part of the annual One Young CA competition.
The 35 CAs Under 35 awards will be a comprehensive who’s who of the most prominent young CAs in the UK and beyond.
The overall winner of the awards will be crowned this year’s ‘One Young CA’ and will represent ICAS at the One Young World Summit in Ottawa, Canada.
The One Young World Summit is an international conference that brings together the brightest young leaders from around the world, empowering them to make lasting connections to create positive change.
Anton Colella, ICAS Chief Executive, officially launched the competition at yesterday’s Admission Ceremony in Edinburgh. He said: “The 35 CAs Under 35 awards build on the phenomenal response we received to last year’s One Young CA competition.
“Not only do the awards recognise the achievements of the most up-and-coming CAs in the world who are making their mark, but they also highlight the leaders of tomorrow who have the potential to truly change the business world for the better.”
Last year’s One Young CA competition was won by Indy Hothi CA, who attended the 2015 summit in Bangkok.
Indy, who is a senior economic and strategy consultant at EY, said: “The experience is truly inspiring and life-changing. As a young CA you have the chance to influence discussions around the most pressing issues our global society face today.
“For me it has been an amazing experience – the ongoing support and opportunities from ICAS are career-defining. I would urge all those young CAs who are doing great things for society to reach out to the One Young CA competition.”
All ICAS CAs under 35 are eligible to enter the competition. CAs can nominate themselves (or others) to be recognised as a top CA under 35. Both CAs and non-CAs can nominate.
How to enter
Entries to the 35 CAs Under 35 awards open on 1 April 2016 and can be made through the One Young CA website.
The completed list of successful candidates will be published in July.
