David Wood, ICAS Executive Director of Technical Policy speaks to Radio 4 about pensions and independence.

ICAS Executive Director of Technical Policy, David Wood, has featured on BBC Radio 4's leading consumer finance programme Money Box to talk about possible implications for pension provision in an independent Scotland.

David was interviewed on Money Box on Saturday, 15 March, in a discussion on pensions and how these might be provided should Scotland vote for independence in the September referendum.

David was asked about EU rules on cross-border pension provision, how pensions are delivered in Ireland - where there is cross-border provision - and the implications of a much-awaited new EU directive.

Pension protection, auto-enrolment and regulation were other topics raised in the discussion.

The programme follows the recent publication of a second paper by ICAS Technical experts on implications for pensions provision in an independent Scotland.
