CIMA in discussion with ICAS

Business meeting

18 July 2016

CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants) and ICAS are in discussion about offering routes to CIMA membership and the CGMA designation.

Further details are expected to be available later in the year.

The bodies are also discussing routes for senior members of ICAS as well as other ways in which they can work together for the benefit of their members and the profession.

Charles Tilley, Chief Executive at CIMA, said: “ICAS is one of the most respected professional bodies in the world with members based across 100 countries.

"Its chartered accountants are increasingly moving into business-focused roles and CIMA is delighted to be working with ICAS to build upon an already world-renowned level of training.”

Anton Colella, Chief Executive at ICAS, said: “We are excited to be in discussions with CIMA about the potential for opening up membership and CGMA designation opportunities to our members, and to be exploring further reciprocal arrangements.

"Both ICAS and CIMA recognise the benefits of equipping our members with the skills and qualifications needed for an ever-changing global business environment and we look forward to working closely with CIMA.”
