Keith Falconer CA joins Deutsche Asset Management

Deutsche Asset Management has appointed Keith Falconer CA as Managing Director, heading up the Anti-Financial Crime team.

Keith joins Deutsche Asset Management having spent two years as Global Head of Compliance at CMC Markets.

He has also held the position of Head of Risk and Compliance at both Standard Life Investments and Standard Life Wealth, and was previously part of the ICAS examinations team.

RSM appoints new partner

Audrey Fearing has been appointed as a new Indirect Tax Partner at tax and consulting firm RSM.

Audrey, a chartered tax adviser, joins RSM from EY where she led the government and public-sector tax team.

Ian Carpenter, RSM’s Head of VAT said: “We are delighted to welcome Audrey to the team. She brings with her unrivalled experience and expertise in government and public-sector VAT and will be a huge asset to our not-for-profit clients.”

Former RBS Group Strategy Director joins Deloitte

Deloitte has announced Richard Kibble as a new Partner in its UK Financial Services team specialising in banking strategy and transformation.

Richard joins the Big Four firm from RBS, where he spent five years as Strategy and Corporate Finance Director working with the RBS ExCo and Board.

James O’Riordan, Head of UK Financial Services at Deloitte, said: “Richard’s extensive experience in both business strategy and consultancy will complement the transformation work we are already conducting with our banking clients, and lead the development of future projects.”

New audit Partner joins BDO

BDO has appointed a new audit Partner to join its practice in the Midlands

Jon Gilpin joins BDO today following 20 years at PwC. Jon, who will be based in the firm’s Birmingham office, specialises in the provision of audit to UK and internationally-focused businesses.

Jon has significant experience leading large projects and providing complex technical accounting advice to high-growth private and listed businesses, as well as public sector organisations.

Brown Shipley appoints new CEO

Alan Mathewson has been announced as the new CEO of wealth manager Brown Shipley.

Alan joins from Santander UK where he spent three years as Managing Director of Wealth Management and Private Banking.

David Rough, Chairman of Brown Shipley, said: “I am delighted that Alan is set to join Brown Shipley.

“He has significant leadership skills, together with both specific wealth management and broad financial services experience, including a successful track record of growing wealth management businesses as a CEO.”
