Gregor Mowat CA named Non-Executive Director at NordGold

Gregor Mowat CA has been appointed as a Non-Executive Director of NordGold's central Asian gold mining operation.

Gregor has a wealth of experience in the Financial Services sector, most recently as founder and CFO of FinTech startup Nooli. He was also previously an Investor and CFO at Credit Improver, following a series of Partner and Managing Partner roles with KPMG in Russia, Kazakhstan and Central Asia. Gregor qualified as a Cab in 1998 with William Duncan & Co.

Lukshmi Selvarajah CA appointed as Professional Trustee at Capital Cranfield

Lukshmi Selvarajah CA has joined Capital Cranfield, the independent trustee firm, as a Professional Trustee.

She was previously an Assistant Director at Deloitte, specialising in employer covenant advisory services for Scotland. She has also held management positions at both PwC and EY. Lukshmi qualified as a CA with EY in 2006.

Mazars announces new Partner promotions in London

Vaneeta Khurana and Ben Morris have been named as Partners at Mazars with a combined experience of more than a decade with the firm.

Vaneeta has been with Mazars for three years and has taken the position of Employment Tax Partner. She formerly spent 13 years at PwC.

Ben has been appointed as Global Infrastructure Finance Partner after eight years at Mazars. He previously worked with KPMG, the National Audit Office and the House of Commons.

Deloitte appoints Head of UK Hospitality and Leisure

Andreas Scriven has been announced as the new Head of UK Hospitality and Leisure for Deloitte as part of the firm’s travel, hospitality and leisure (THL) industry group, providing international corporate finance, consulting, tax and assurance services.

Andreas joins Deloitte from Christie & Co, where he was International Managing Director, and is regarded as an industry expert in matters of commercial due diligence, strategic advice, bank support, feasibility and market analysis.

He said: "This is an exciting and challenging time for the hospitality and leisure industries. It is a competitive sector that has to adapt to changing consumer habits and disruptive technology.”


Danielle Herndon has joined FinTech startup Paybase as Money Laundering Reporting Officer and Head of Compliance.

Formerly the Financial Crime and Compliance Assistant Manager at HSBC, Danielle has experience in working with a FinTech business from her compliance roles at and Paysafe Group.
