Sue Dawe CA appointed to EY's UK board
Sue Dawe CA, Head of Financial Services in Scotland, EY, has been appointed to the firm's UK board.
Sue's appointment, along with Christabel Cowling, brings the number of women on the board to five out of ten.
Sue Dawe joined EY in 1988 and was appointed Head of the Financial Services practice in Scotland and Edinburgh Office Managing Partner in 2016, roles she will continue to hold in addition to her new position on the Board.
Sue has been an audit partner since 2009 and has more than 25 years of experience within the financial services sector, working with a large number of global organisations.

Johnston Carmichael names new director
Brian Rudkin has been announced as Head of Employer services at Johnston Carmichael.
Prior to joining Johnston Carmichael, Brian led PwC’s reward and employment practice across the north-east of England combined with a national role in the Construction Industry Scheme (CIS).
Susie Walker, Head of Tax, Johnston Carmichael, said: “We are very pleased to have Brian on board. His appointment is a strong commitment to expanding our Employer Services team and the experience Brian brings to the firm is second-to-none."
GANT appoints new CFO
Thomas Dunaker has been named the new CFO for clothing company GANT.
He joined the company in February 2018 as Global Head of Commercial Finance and Group Business Control and has held the position of interim CFO since June 2018.
Brian Grevy, CEO, GANT, said: “With his result and service-oriented mindset, extensive operational knowledge, and strong leadership skills, I am confident that Thomas is the right person to lead the finance team and be part of taking GANT to the next level.”
New cyber security leader at Grant Thornton
Grant Thornton has announced James Arthur as the firm's new Head of Cyber Consulting.
James joins the firm having recently led a range of national-scale cyber projects including designing and implementing national cyber defences in his role as Technical Director for the Middle East at BAE systems.
Sacha Romanovitch, CEO, Grant Thornton, said that James' prior experience in cyber security "brings great insight and expertise into how we continue to grow this key area to support our clients."
Earth Capital announces new CEO
Earth Capital Partners (‘EC’), the global sustainable private equity group, has appointed Edward Collins as CEO.
Edward is a former Managing Director of Hanson Asset Management, an independent investment management and advisory firm, and CIO of Hanson Family Holdings.
Gordon Power, Chairman and CIO of EC, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Edward at such an exciting time for the group as we continue to build on the launch of the Nobel Sustainability Fund."
