Eunice McAdam CA joins Saffery Champness as Partner
Accountancy firm Saffery Champness has announced that Eunice McAdam CA has joined the firms Inverness office as Partner.
Eunice joins Saffery Champness after 26 years at EY, 16 of which she spent as an Executive Director.
Eunice provides assurance and advisory services to private companies, entrepreneurs and not-for-profit entities across Scotland and the wider UK, including those with overseas subsidiaries or ownership.
She has worked with entrepreneurs and corporates across a variety of sectors, including education, oil services, manufacturing, retail and tourism.
Eunice has also worked with the not-for-profit sector, serving as a secretary or treasurer to several smaller local charities. At Saffery Champness she will be part of both the firm’s Not-For-Profit and Entrepreneur National Practice Groups.
Forth Ports appoints Carole Cran CA as CFO
Carole Cran CA has announced she will step down from her role as CFO of Aggreko and will join Forth Ports as CFO.
Carole leaves Glasgow based power generation equipment supplier Aggreko after 13 years, three of which spent as the CFO.
Carol will remain with Aggreko for the next 12 months to help oversee the handover.
Commenting on the appointment Willie Finlayson of FWB Park Brown said: "Carole is one of the UK’s leading CFOs and Forth Ports one of our best businesses - we are delighted to have played our part in bringing both together”.
David Nussbaum CA joins board of Drax Group
David Nussbaum CA has been appointed as a Non-Executive Director of Drax Group, taking effect from 1 August.
David is currently CEO of the human rights group founded by Nelson Mandela, The Elders.
Prior to this David was Chief Executive of WWF-UK, joining the animal welfare organisation in 2007.
David qualified as a CA with PwC, moved into venture capital with 3i, and then into manufacturing, latterly as FD of Field Group plc through its management buyout and subsequent successful flotation.
Richard Davies joins TSB as Commercial Banking Director
TSB has announced the appointment, subject to regulatory approval, of Richard Davies as Commercial Banking Director.
The new role will see Richard spearhead the Bank’s ramp up in business banking. Richard will join TSB at the end of 2017.
Richard said: “I cannot wait to join TSB as it prepares to launch the future of local banking for businesses in 2018. I’m looking forward to getting stuck in and see us take on the business banking market in the same way that TSB has already challenged consumer banking."
Blick Rothenberg hires new Partner in its Private Client tax team.
Lynne Pearson joins Blick Rothenberg as Partner in the firm's Private Client tax team.
Lynne is a Chartered Tax Adviser with almost 30 years’ experience working with private clients and joins the firm from BDO.
Caroline Le Jeune, partner and Head of Private Client tax at Blick Rothenberg, said: “Lynne is a fantastic addition to the team. Legislation on the taxation of individuals with complex financial arrangements is constantly changing, and Lynne’s wealth of experience in dealing with sophisticated clients further enhances the range of services and support we offer”.
