Eunice McAdam CA named Director of Inverness Chamber of Commerce
Inverness Chamber of Commerce has announced Eunice McAdam CA as one of four new Directors.
Eunice is a Partner at Saffery Champness LLP, specialising in providing audit and assurance services.
Previously, Eunice spent 26 years at Big Four firm EY, where she progressed to the role of Executive Director.
Stewart Nicol, Inverness Chamber of Commerce Chief Executive, said: “Our new directors bring a vast amount of experience and expertise to the board and I am looking forward to working with them over the next three years to improve the business landscape in the Highlands.”
New President begins term at R3
Stuart Firth has begun his year-long term as President of R3, the trade association of UK insolvency, restructuring, advisory and turnaround professionals.
Stuart, a Partner at Stephenson Harwood LLP, has over 30 years’ experience in the insolvency and restructuring profession, covering both corporate and personal insolvency work.
Stuart said: “The UK has a world-class insolvency and restructuring framework, and I’m very honoured to have the opportunity to represent my fellow professionals who work within it.
“I’m determined to make our profession’s voice heard on pressing issues like Brexit and the need to continue to improve our restructuring landscape both here and abroad.”
New CEO for CivilisedBank
Mark Stephens, formerly of Harrods Bank and Aldermore, has been appointed as CEO of new SME bank CivilisedBank.
Mark takes over from interim CEO Philip Acton.
Mark was previously CEO of Harrods Bank and spent seven years at Aldermore as founding Director, Deputy Chief Executive and Group Commercial Director.
Mark said: “I’m excited to be joining CivilisedBank and particularly at such a key stage in the bank’s development.
“CivilisedBank’s proposition offers a refreshing alternative to SMEs looking for a new approach to business banking that’s not being offered by the incumbents or online-only banks.
“The current build phase is crucial in ensuring that we provide an optimal customer offering, and I’m looking forward to working with the team as we look to put this in place."
RSM grows restructuring practice
RSM has appointed Frazer Ulrick as Associate Director in the firm’s restructuring practice in Hull.
Frazer joins the firm from Begbies Traynor Group, where he held the position of Senior Manager.
Frazer said "RSM is a perfect fit for me. It’s ambition, scale and proposition combined with an impressive mix of local, regional and international clients, and a team full of qualified IPs, presented a unique regional opportunity for me; and I look forward to contributing to the future growth of the firm.’
Two new Partners announced at Mazars
Accountancy and advisory firm Mazars have announced the promotions of Greig Simms and Dave Hilton to Partner.
Greig has been appointed Tax Partner and Dave has been named Corporate Finance Partner.
