Ian Durie CA joins Armstrong Watson as Partner

Following the acquisition of Haines Watts by Armstrong Watson, Ian Durie CA has been named Corporate Finance Partner for Scotland.

Ian, who qualified in 1989, has been with Haines Watts for more than six years. Prior to this he held the roles of Group Finance Director at Simclar Group and Partner at Deloitte, RMD and Price Waterhouse.

Paul Dickson, Armstrong Watson Chief Executive Officer, said that the acquisition of Ian and the wider team at Haines Watts Glasgow office "provides us with a strong platform for growing an exciting and dynamic business in the city, and combines two firms of similar culture, with complementary practice strengths and sector expertise."

Joseph Phelps Vineyards promotes Robert Boyd CA to President

Joseph Phelps Vineyards, based in California, has announced the appointment of Robert Boy CA as President.

Robert joined the company in 2011 as Vice President,Chief Financial Officer before being promoted to Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer in 2016.

After qualifying in 1997, Robert moved to the US where he held the roles of VP Finance, Director of Internal Audit at Kendall-Jackson Wine Estates and Overseas Finance Manager at Miller Developments.

Commenting on his appointment, Robert  “There have only been four other Presidents of Joseph Phelps Vineyards since 1973. I am honoured to be a member of this exclusive group. I look forward to making a meaningful contribution to the Joseph Phelps Vineyards story."

Delta Capita appoints new Chairman

International business and technology consulting firm Delta Capita has announced Steve Vinnicombe as Chairman of its Group business.

Steve joins the business from Capco UK where he held the role of Chief Executive Officer.

Commenting on Steve's appointment, Joe Channer, Delta Capita, CEO, said: "I have every confidence his wealth of management experience, combined with his industry and corporate insight, will prove invaluable in helping us avoid the potential pitfalls facing a rapidly growing consulting firm. He has been there before.”

KPMG appoints new Director

Richard Stark has been announced as Director of KPMG's Corporate Finance practice following his appointment as Head of Private Equity in the North.

Richard joined KPMG in 2006 as an Assistant Manager in Audit before moving on to the role of Associate Director of Corporate Finance in 2010.

SES announces two new senior appointments

SES has announced that Steve Collar, currently CEO of SES Networks, has been appointed as the next President & CEO of SES, becoming CEO Designate with immediate effect.

Andrew Browne, who was until recently CFO of O3b Networks and CFO of SES between 2010 and 2013, has been appointed as the next CFO of SES, becoming CFO Designate with immediate effect.

Romain Bausch, SES Chariman, said: "We are extremely excited to welcome Steve and Andrew as our next CEO and CFO.
